I just got a set of vision beadlocks. my wheel studs don't appear to be long enough. I have read that ET lug nuts will fix the issue. should I also get extended studs as well? Going on a 87 4runner with rock assault axles

I had a set of fj axles and basically same beadlocks, ended up buying like 40 lug studs before found the correct one. They were an arp part extra long racing lug stud. You might find an extended lug nut that will work but it wouldn't be ideal in my opinion.

I started with some extended thread lug nuts. they grab 1/2" of the 1" stud

I ordered these from eBay for the Rock Assault front axle on my buggy, with the IFS hubs and the Tacoma brake conversion. Unfortunately you'll have to buy 2 packs since they're sold in 10/pack but you'll have spares for later.

You'll need open end acorn lug nuts with these studs, they are too long for closed end lug nuts but they fit perfect with my KMC beadlocks.

Longer studs and acorn lug nuts will be the ticket in the long run. I just went through this today. The extended lug nuts that held the PO’s aluminum wheels on the TJ fubar’d a couple of studs. They had about the same engagement as your picture.
