My advice is:
Read a lot. Forums like this one are great to help you. As you read this one, there will be links to others.
Get you a Haynes manual or Chiltons manual for your rig. Start reading and learning.
Listen to others. You learn more with your ears than you do your mouth, but, don't be afraid to ask questions. Here in Newbie tech is the best place and not get flamed.
Look for others on here that are close to you. Those with simular rigs can probably help the most.
Join a club if you really think you want to get into this long term
If you play, be prepared, you will pay. All modifications don't work out the best. A lot of Mods lead to other mods and you get a snow ball effect.
Parts break, Don't whine, just fix em.
Good luck. Myself as well as many others on here will be more than happy to help you learn.
