where to buy smoke wood

Well, the weather is turning cool and its time to fire up the smoker.

does anyone know where to buy smoke wood, like apple or cherry around the raleigh area? home depot/lowes only sell mesquite and hickory. we used to have a Barbeques Galore store in Cary but its gone.
 
chunks or chips?

check ace hardware, they have an assortment of chips, and the ace by me only had mesquite and hickory chunks.

I would like to get some more cherry, a couple logs would last me a year or so.
 
There's a guy on ebay out of va I bought a flat rate box of apple chunks from, seems like it was about $10 shipped or so. He had various woods for sale. I have a whole apple tree worth of logs drying now.
