I'm trying to get my girlfriend's Xterra back together and I was pretty sure I bought these somewhere a couple years ago, at a parts store or something but can't come up with anything now and I really need them before this weekend.

Looks like this(this one is apparently for a d60)

Here is what it looks like installed on the d44 shaft. You can see the piece towards the yoke on the stub shaft, you just tap the piece on with a hammer, it's kind of a tight fit and acts a metal backing for the spindle seals.

I made one in a bind one time, but for the better news PARTS MIKE had em in stock for Dana stuff including my Dana 44. IS that under an Exterra? Swapped in?

Hm, I really need them before this weekend so I can put it all back together. Yeah, it's under(kind of) my girlfriend's Xterra, I swapped it in but still have to finish up some things. Was a buddies truck and I put the axle under there with leafs, since then we acquired the truck and I'm doing a 3 link and putting coilovers on there. Check the build ups, there is a thread in there if you want to see some progress, I need to update it.

Richard i think i have a spare shaft with one on it. Ill ck in the morning if i do i will send it with kevin to work thursday.

Parts Mike stocked them and knew right off what they were when I discribed them. Try to ship em next day. Nobody round here could even look them up for me. I can't remember the exact part name he gave me. I thought of him late Friday and wanted to wheel Saturday. So I made one in a bind with a short piece of tube (very thin wall) and a piece of 20 ga. sheet metal. Redneck but it served the purpose.

I just found it. It's called a Dana 44 stub shaft "slinger". Dana/Spicer part# 36364. I'll try to call a couple parts stores tomorrow and see if they can cross reference or get it.

Where did you get the part number? I tried the Dana sight and some parts stores but got fustrated and called P-Mike. Fleet-Pride carries alot of Dana stuff but useually can't look up:poop:

It was on the parts mike site, it was DAN36364, I just separated it into Dana 36364 and it popped up on ebay and several other places. Was just told that I could get them at Napa, I'll call them tomorrow as there is a Napa warehouse there in High Point/Greensboro, they should have it.
