I just recently was given a 1994 Reg cab nissan 4 cylinder 5 speed and the current motor has 285,000 miles on it with a brand new head and new tranny. But I would like to go in and have someone completely overhaul the motor and make decent power, where is a good place to get it done and whats a fair price on the labor and parts?? It was given to me so I dont mind put some in it to get it in great running shape, thanks guys and if you have anyone that specializes in these and has fair prices could you please post or pm me details and ill give them a shout

I have a friend that was a nissan certified tech, hes now a police officer so he has 4 days off every week, hes looking for some side work an has his own shop. I live in reidsville not sure how far that is for you but contact me if interested an i can get you a quote.

HRT Performance in Durham specializes in Honda and Nissan performance builds. They sleeve them with Iron and stroke them to pull about 6-700 HP out of them on a few of their builds I saw last couple weekends up there. The shop connected to them has a dyno to confirm these numbers for anyone calling bullshit. That's why they get engines shipped from all over the US to build. They are definately the ones to go to in this area. Very impressive work! They are pumping out about 15 engines a month right now.
Call Steve at 919-956-7223 for quote. Tell him Jeremy sent ya. His son Joel would be the one supervising the work. Steve runs the Pro Shop and mans the phone for questions and orders. Quotes are free of course and they get the best rates locally for any Eagle or Patriot products.

joel would definetly be supervising b/c he is the only guy that works there. his old man answers the phone, and then a x-sherriff works there. Also T-hoff owns them, they are also a machine shop i have had some machine work done there, they are a machine shop, kinda of pricey, i use them sometimes b/c they don't belt sand heads, and joel is a nice guy. As for motors coming across the country and pumping them out it ususally seems pretty dead in there. and i do call bullshit on the 700 hp motors but would love to see it on craig's dyno, give me a call the next time they run one ill be down.

The motor pumping was what Steve told me last Friday? Of course this is all kinds of different motors too. They got a teacher from Durham Tech helping out now and some younger dude I didn't meet? Will do on the dyno. Pretty amazing shit! Were talking 12,000 RPM's. Had me blown away. This was Friday before last. Of course it had a turbo on there too.
Car was still in there last Friday. They are having problems collecting money from dude so car isn't going anywhere. The guy went out and overheated it and brought it back after dropping the sleeve. Joel broke it down and redid the entire thing for free but dude won't pay for parts. Hell of a mess for HRT cause he's an unappreciative little turd from what I gather. It had a leak in the radiator when it came back. Dude's grand dad invested around $15,000 in it and grandson went out and raced it wide open like it was a gift to him.
