where to leave a trailer while at URE

Very close to you. Leave it attached to your tow rig if possible. DON'T leave it alone in one of the parking lots.
If you're staying at Arrowhead, Janet Becker may be able to give you a spot for it.

I leave my trailer locked and attached to my tow rig.. with my jeep parked next to it and me sleeping in camper or camper shell in back of truck.. I do not trust everyone that I see at Uwharrie

^^^^^^
As close to you as possible is best though I've not personally had any problems........yet :) Definately locked to your tow rig! Have left mine at the Hunt Camp and Group Camp before and at the Outpost. I did ask and the Eldorado Outpost is OK with you leaving your trailer there, especially if you let them know you are doing so, no guarantee of security though.

If my trailer is locked to my truck (gooseneck), and my truck is locked, how in the world can it get stolen? even if someone used bolt cutters on my lock, they'de have to somehow pick up the hitch off the ball and pull it backwards ~10 ft, and then have a gooseneck equipped truck to drive it off. I don't see it happening

I've left mine at Arrowhead, hunt camp, the Outpost, no issuses. It's ussually locked on, and truck is locked.

Dont forget, for non GN you need 2 locks!

2 years ago on a tellico trip my buddy left his trailer "locked' to his 250 and we drove the Jeep the 5 miles from camp to a wheeling spot. WHen he returned the traler was gone!

He was pissed trying to figure out how they had the lock cut off the trailer on to find they had pulled his pin and taken his trailer and "receiver and ball"

D'Oh

Yep, mine stays on the truck and I'm pretty close by. Of course my trailer is ragged so who the hell would want it. LOL

here is the thing...
I am taking the ram (has a 12 ft flat bed but is 4 ft off the ground, and made to haul lumber, maybe I should just drive the jeep on that  ) the trailer I will be pulling behind it is 20 ft long (give or take) and I would really love to camp somewhere and have the trailer close. I tried calling arrow head, they did not give me a yes or no to my questian about getting a campground I could put my trailer or next to. instead they gave me the number to the campsite/campground at troy, but they are open till 4.30, at which time I am at work. this will be a bust weekend, I want to make reservations if at all posiable. I do not like the idea of leaving this thing at the outpost

Arrowhead has quite a few camping spots with hookups that you can pull through. I've had my burb and 17 footer in them a few times. You other option is primitive at hunt camp.

I stay at the double parking lot . It conects to all the trails so if your rigs not tagged you don't have to keep loading and unloading it.

as of right now just wheeling. Our club has small talk about helping the clean up in the future, but the plans have not been moved forward. do you have any info so I can pass it along?
