Where to stay in Asheville

Gotta stay in Asheville Friday night. Wife nixed the camper. What's a good motel....nicer the better, but cheaper than Grove Park Inn?

We stayed in 6 Hampton Inns on the trip to Moab. Every stay was excellent and very consistent. Doubles are usually between $100-$120 a night. Only hotel my wife stays in when she's on the road for business.

it depends what side of town are u going to be on if u want something central id suggest holliday inn sunspree on smokey park hwy (patton av.)and if on east side of town just get off i40 ext.55 plenty of places their

we stayed at the Renaissance Marriot downtown a month or so ago. it was pretty nice and had nice views of the city
