Which die do you guys use the most with your tubing bender?

I'm getting a bender pretty soon and am wondering which die you guys use the most. I was thinking of getting a 1.5x5x240 to start off for cage building/mods. What do you guys have?

all the tube work on my truck is 1.75. that seems to be a common size

Go with the 1.75x6x240. That is the one we use 90 percent of the time..... For a homebuilt CJ I would expect that would be the one you would use most. 1.5" would be too small for cage stuff.

I actually bend 1 5/8" tube in my 1.75" die for bends up to about 45-60* and it does just fine. I've done 90* in it but it starts to flatten it out. So, if ya need to do a little smaller than the 1.75" tube, its fairly easy and a decent quality bend.

Don't want to sell it since someday I will need it.

But you are welcome to borrow it. Course thats easier said then done when your 250 miles away. You need it for one project or full time?

How much did you guys pay for the 1.75x6x240 die and who has the best price? I'm getting the Pro-Tools 105HD bender.
 
Is there a way to use the 120deg die to get a hoop style bend or do I have to have the 240?

What would you make that is over a 90deg bend besides a front stinger/hoop?

Yes you can use the 120 but its tricky and sometimes doesnt look as good as one done with the 240 die......
