White Christmas

I can remember waking up to a light dusting once that was gone very quickly when I was about 10 or so, and I can remember a decent icing one Christmas eve/day probably 5 years after that. I can also remember wearing shorts and a T-shirt one Christmas with the temps in the 60s-low 70s lol.

Yeah I remember not that long ago, well I guess 10 years ago before I got married.I remember going Bass Fishing on Christmas Day and not being cold wearing a T-shirt and Jeans.I can't ever remember a White Christmas in Durham.

Been living in the Triad area most of my life, and don't recall every having a white Christmas.

If I can find the pictures. We had a 2 or 3 inches on Christmas day 6 or 7 years ago at my parents in Charlotte. I heard Steve Udelson say it had been something like thirty or fourty since the last snow on Christmas in Charlotte. Some of you guys have to remember it. 3 inches cant be localized to just one little area of Charlotte I wouldn't think.

I saw on the news tonight. The Euro Model shows the storm turning into a Nasty Northeaster that stalls off our coast and Dumps Snow on us all day Saturday/Sunday.
Weirder things have happened.

BRING IT. :driver:

Fella brought me a Rubicon up for insp. yesterday. I told him I will need it for a few days to get it to come up ready. He said to keep it as long as I needed.

Couldn't have been better timing.

Saw on WRAL tonight....last snowfall on Christmas day for Raleigh was 1947, 0.4". Last snow on the ground on Christmas was 1" in 1966.

ask the Boone boys what happened last Christmas!

I remember a white christmas about 10 years ago, no more than 2 inches, but it was when I was living in Mocksville. Thats the last time I can remember snow here on christmas though.

ews stations seem to have agreed on the last snowfall of accumulation on Christmas in the Charlotte viewing area (so southern Piedmont) was 63 years ago. From those same stations, I've heard anywhere from 40-90% of precipitation, anywhere from early morning to mid-afternoon, and anywhere from no accumulation to 2-4".

God it must be awesome to be a weatherman...get to be on tv, make decent money and can be be non-committal so they are never wrong.

12Z Euro: 6th straight snow run; 3rd straight epic run
December 22nd, 2010, 1:04 pm · 9 Comments · posted by sfosterstar
1:23 pm. — Another epic Euro run. It is absolutely not budging an inch — if anything it trended a touch MORE phased and west with precip. Still a 6-10 inch snow no matter how you slice it. AND COLD! We would probably end up with snow and temps well down into the 20s. I really can’t believe what I’m seeing and reading.
WHITE CHRISTMAS PROBABLITY: Increased to 60 percent.
All I need now is one more model to show something remotely close and we go to yellow alert.

Mommas freaking out cause I have to go to Morganton christmas afternoon.

I say bring it!!!!
