who has flex joints for their shackle hanger?

I believe the joints you have linked are for... links & not for use in spring eyes. Unless, you happen to have eyes that large?

Maybe THESE are a better fit for your purpose? I'd bet the farm they're a bit more than $40/per though...

i dont want to put them in the springs, i want to put them on the frame to attach the shackle to. but thanks for the link, i didnt even know people put them in the spring eyes.

Ballistic makes some really good parts, but the smallest flex joint they make is a 2.63 too big for a spring hanger.

I know two people that are running JJs as their shackle hanger. They like them a lot because it really extends the bushing life of the spring, and it flexes really well. Not too sure how it does about side-loading though.

I tried using flex joints for the shackle hangers in the rear and didn't like it at all.

Definitely flexed better, but I hated the way that it shifted on side hills and at speed around corners. Maybe it would have been alright if a panhard was added, but then what's the point?

Putting poly bushings back in made the Jeep feel 100% more stable. :driver:

deaver spring makes what they call the baja bushing it is for the spring eye at the shackle end of the spring. about $130 a pair, they are rebuildable . i have installed one pair in the front of my jeep but i have the front housing removed so i have not driven w/ them yet.they only misalign 18 degrees which i hope is enough to eliminate the frame mount poly bushing from being chewed to pieces every third offroad trip, this is a test i hope it works. search deaver springs or baja bushings they will come up somewhere
