Taking a short motorbike ride w/ wife tomorrow while inlaws are on hand for child care. We're gonna ride out to King's Mt. State Park, hike around, then try to catch lunch somewhere around there.

Anybody know a good local place in the King's Mt. or Clover area?

Figured it was worth a post...

If you can stop through Bessemer City it will be well worth it for some good ol Italian Food. Gondolas Italian restraunt. Get the white lasagna (lasagna with chicken and broccoli over alfredo) or the butterfield chicken.. The place is a hole in the wall but the food is excellent. their pizzas are kick ass too!! Unfortunately its a dry county so you wont be able to have a glass of wine or beer with it but your on a bike so im sure it wont matter. check it out though!

I'm not much for fish camps, but there's a place on business 74 that runs through Kings Mountain that is pretty much the cats ass. Some of the best fried seafood I've ever had. Wish I could remember the name of the place.

Theres not too many places between Kings MTN and clover....I would say try B city like it was stated before or you may have to stick to fast food.

Imma have to try this place next time I'm down that way.

Of course, if you want the best bbq, head west on 74 Bypass to Shelby, get on 18 north to Alston-Bridges BBQ. Best hush puppies, also.

Bridges is excellent, just doesn't fit the bill between kings mountain and Clover.

My Grandad used to get me to pick him up in Gaffney and drive him all the way to Alston for some Bridges....everytime Im near there I have some Q and a few memories

I will say that Courtney's has more of a Texas Q feel then bridges. Big Hickory smoker rght outside, whole pig is a cooking and a few dozen chickens etc....
