I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Muhammed trying to make freakin' hotel reservations. I know what you are thinking, why not book online? I was trying to do this before I left work and the bossman was on the computer so I was like hell with waiting, I'll just call. Its kinda hard to spell something out for someone who doesnt speak english very well. So just use alpha code right? That only works if the person youre talking to knows the word that represents each letter. What a pain in the ass. I highly recommend making reservations online. Thank you all for letting me rant. Time for a:beer:

because you wont work for $1.50 an hour?

It's pretty simple, really.
If you're willing to pay more for a hotel, then you can call them directly AT the hotel.

But that won't work for motel 6.

Simple choice, vote with your wallet. if you believe in personal service, then be prepared to pay for it.

Get a Choice Privileges account setup (if is free) for Choice Hotels, they own lots of different hotels. Booking online is easy and actually last time we booked, we called instead of going online and we spoke to an American in America. You also earn points for free stays.

thats anywhere man... companies will put habib or anyone with english as a second language in custumer service. doesnt make any sense, but i think it may have something to do with equal opportunity. im a strong believer in someone best qualified for that particular job. my $ .02

The common american is too good to work for cheap wages. We think the new cars and a really nice house are a requirement. We then figure up our cost and say we have to have $20 an hour. Good news is that things are changing. I hope the common person learns that we don't have to have all that and it doesn't take that much money to live.

I have a customer that has moved all of its A/P to Indonesia. You think dealing with a hotel overseas is bad, try dealing with the A/P department that is overseas. That sucks, and I just can't hang up, I have to deal with it for hours chasing $$$ because the customer can't pay on time. And, when the invoice doesn't match the PO, I have to call again, and again, and again.

Sucks. I feel your pain.
