I'm going to rephrase my statement. If a family has 4 kids and a live in parent then they need a house to accommodate that and if they have the funds to buy and keep it up and not stress about the cost then I'm all for it. I was aiming at the more materialistic people who think they have to have a 5000 sq ft house in a trendy neighborhood for two people just because their friends live in the same.
