about 2 weeks ago I bought the front axle he was selling.
after wheeling it once I had a "noise" in the frontend. I took a video of it and then called him. He was 100% straightup backing his product b/c all he said was "bring it by on your way to callantee and I'll make it right".

so I headed up there to change what we thought would be the 3rd real quick. here's some shots of what took place in the next 8 hours!
tear down

Will found a pair of worn wheel bearings and seals. he didn't even ask me, he went and got brand new ones out of pocket and threw them in. He went through the whole axle making sure it was good to go. Anything that was well worn was replaced. even allowed time for everything to get cleaned up etc....

He stands out to me as a great seller as well as a topnotch guy all around. thanks again will, it performs great now.

here's a shot from callantee the next day, right before I twisted my rear dshaft around 2x's and it seperated, also losing my brakes. LOL- next time

You got a heck of a deal! I can't say that buying any used hardware constitutes a fix at all. Used is "As is" most of the time. Besides you wheeled it once!

Glad to know there's upstanding businesses out there, but if it were my axle I'd tell ya it's your ticket not mine!

Yes, I've only heard good thing about Rockbottom4X4, just no personal dealings with them.

for us newbies...namely myself, what is it that went wrong? It appears that a few on the ring gear teeth are ate up. I'm not following...so please bear with me

dang, dont make his head getting any bigger, its already huge!!!:flipoff2:

WTF was in the diff area that chewed the ring gear like that?

some teeth were chipped off on the ring gear. I don't know what caused it.

as for the first reply- it was broken when I installed it. I wheeled it to make sure it wasn't just a noisy locker.

thanks again Will both for the great deal on it and the follow up great service :driver:
