So, my great aunt died a while ago and we were going through her stuff today to help my g-ma get ready to have an auction of her stuff. I found some "tailer anchors," basically its a 2 foot long peice of metal with a sorta drill bit at the bottom that goes about 3 inches up and another one 6 inches above it. Would these works as a sorta winch anchor pull pal kinda dealy?
 
Probably not.. the thing with a pull-pal is that the more you pull on it, (theoretically), the harder it digs in.

What you described sounds like a stake to tie your dog down with, just a big version of it.

You could try it. Just watch out for flying 2 foot long pieces of metal with a sorta drill bit at the bottom .
