Any of you hooligans a hobbyist or expert in wind power?
Just got finished with getting 150kw solar added to the business. Now looking into wind power as a backup to the backup and a supplementary aid.
From what i gather on online research. Key points sought after by others have been:
Low rpm generator - focusing on very low rpm
Gearset ratio and friction factors
Turbine design to capture low speed winds
Ability to cut out turbine in high speeds, and or have a vfd of some kind to flip for high speeds?
