I will be up there at Baptist Hospitol giving stem cells on Monday and Tuesday. Will be staying Sunday and Monday nights. Any of you guys in that area?

I work at the WFU/baptist medical center.
Are yo ucoming i nfor a research study?
It is a stem cell donation for a bone marrow transplant. I agreed to be a part of the research they are doing on it though, what ever that means.

1st Street Draught House, just down the hill from the hospital. Best burgers in town, besides mine. The wife's out of town this weekend, and I could stand to get back there for a beer and dinner. PM me and we can meet up Sunday night. Dave, you in?

Sounds fun but I'll have to pass on the beer. When I find out where I'm staying you can tell me how to get there... lol!

Are you "ghost" that used to be on NCTTORA? Had the grey Toyota pickup? Either way, I might be working in the basement monday night if you want to stop by, but I think if I were you I'd rather go out to eat :) (I'd pass on the beer too though)
No, not me. Basement at Baptist? OR somewhere else?

I would be - but I'm leaving for San Diego early Sat morning to hang out with 25,000 neuroscientists through Wed. Oh, what fun.

Hmmm... haven't been since I lived on that side of town, so count me as tentative. OTOH, you could just pick me up on your way over! :D

Hawthorne Inn is where they are putting me up. Where is that in relation to Baptist? Who is up for burgers on Sunday evening at the for mentioned place? I start the Filgrastim today. I just love shots! :(

The Hwathrone is right off the Cherry st exit on Bus 40. Not too far from downtown, if walking it'll be a bit of a walk but not too bad. Can't remember the name of teh street it's technically on. Only what, 1.5 mi from Baptist?
1St draught house st is literally next to the medical center, at the corner of Hwthorne and 1st. students/staff/faculty/everybody hangs out there.

Hey, us grey matter nerds keep your ass employed!
I see some of your, er, colleagues will be there too. Will this make it a dead week for Caver?

Let's make it a meeting, then! Caver, call me. We'll carpool. Open invite, Sunday night. Ghost, you name the time.

7 too late? I'm not sure when I'm leaving here to go up there. Nor how I will feel after 4 days of these injections.

Directions. I couldn't make it any easier than that. If you wanted to, you could hop on the highway and get off at the First St. exit, then make a left. That should be clear on the map. It's easy to find, though. See you there around 7:00.

By the way, this is me.

I'm 6'5". You should notice when I walk in. If I'm sitting down, I'll probably be wearing a striped or plaid button-down.

Leaving late as usual! I'm wearing a blue NAXJA shirt. 5' 11" tall and 220. Look like a marine barber got a hold of me.

I think Mark gets uglier every time I see him.

Maybe so but I had one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever tasted last night. As for the donation:

I'm done. They harvested me this morning and the worse part of it was sitting still in a bed for 3 hours with both arms with iv's in them. The pain was nothing more then a soreness like what you get after a workout. There has been some fatigue but nothing too bad. That was from the Nupogen though. I was on the machine for about 3 hours. I drove my self to the prosegure and back to my room. The nurse called me a little bit ago and said they normally try to targe 3 units. Some people have to do more then on donation. I was on schedule for a second sesion tomorrow morning. Fortuantely my body gave them 6 units today. So, looks like this chapter in my life is done. I hope that it helps someone live a longer life. If you think you might be intrested in getting on the registry check out the links above.

I'll still be here again tonight to rest before I try to drive home. Any sugestions for a place to take the wife for dinner?

Well, I'm guessing it's too late now, but the Bonefish Grill on Stratford is excellent, if you don't mind spending a bit. Get the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. You'll cry, honestly.

Glenn, it was great meeting you last night. Sorry you had to suffer my ugliness. If Dave had been there, he could have distracted you with his ineptitude, though! ;) I had a great time, and you truly are a stupendous individual. A rare breed. Your story should be published someday. You could make public apperances. When I got home, I had to wake my wife up to tell her about it. I hope to see you on the trails soon!
