My kids karate studio did a donation drive and took up a bunch of supplies and my family and I are delivering them to Waynesville this Friday. We are taking this load to a Christian non profit that is distributing supplies to all of Haywood County. We will be travelling from Randolph County, going up I40 from Greensboro. If anyone would like to send anything up and meet us along the way, I would be more than happy to make some pitstops along the way.
The following is from the messages between my wife and the center:
Donation info:
We can take almost any food donations (just not home-canned goods or food not prepared in a certified kitchen). At the current moment ready-to-eat foods are a priority, but as we go more into November and more electricity comes on all shelf-stable foods are helpful. There is also a need for baby supplies, as always in situations like this, and any clothing donations are greatly appreciated (especially children's clothes. The primary charity in our area that collected and redistributed kids clothes was flooded).
