My son will be home from Airborne School on the 29th and I'm looking at taken him and my other son to Wrightsville Beach and do a little beach driving, fishing, and BBQ. What i need to know, will the beach be open in November?

Thanks, John:usa:

Run down to Fort Fisher if fishing is what you want. Great fishing and more beach. Permits are $12 a day or $50 for the year. But beware no alchol on the beach there and they will check. We fish there and grill out lunch for a day of fishing.

Fort Fisher is further south? Drinking is not a problem.

yes, you can't drive on wrightsville beach.....

I40 turns into college rd, which turns into carolina beach rd, which runs right onto carolina beach, keep going and you will run all the way down to fort fisher. just follow the signs to the aquarium and you will see the beach access on your left. passes can be bought in the ranger office next to the access, there is a big parking lot there also.

There are two locations Freeman park which is the north end of Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher State. At CB you can camp (make sure fire is in a approved container), fish surf drink and what ever. The price has gone up to $20 a day or a year pass for 100. I'm not too sure about FF but there is no camping or open fires. Hope that helps.

i dont have any thing useful to add...but welcome back to your son. Congrats to you and him.
