Hey guys,

Im looking at replacing rotors, pads, calipers, and rubber hoses on the front of my sisters 97 xj here soon before Christmas. Right now its stock height, it may get a 3 inch lift in the future. Are there any OEM front rubber lines that are longer that I could buy from advance that would kill two birds with one stone? Or should I just uses the OEM part number for the xj lines? Thanks any input.

I'm not worried about going to stainless, just figured if there's a line that's a few inches longer I should buy those since ill lift it later. So far it looks like YJ hoses are 3 inches longer and early 90s Chevy pickups are 5-6 inches longer.

I think I have it figured out. Zj v8 springs and a thicker isolator pad in the front. Cut up a factory main leaf and install it in the rear. Get some JK take off shocks and I should be good.

I traded for some zj springs, have a few leads on a rear leaf pack and just checked on ebay and I'm looking at 60$ for a set of shocks. I should be able to coble together 2 inches of lift together and replace some worn out stuff.

You can buy a new lift for under $300 and have new parts and hardware. Any more lift than a$300 kit will cause additional problems like driveshaft length, sway bar issues, track bar issues, control arm lengths, bump steer,...

And i can piece this together for under 100 if I play my cards right. Just trying to un sag an old suspension, plus there's a brand new set of 235 75 tires on it so I don't want to lift it up and it look goofy with small tires on it.

After thinking about it this 2 inch budget boost won't require extended brake lines so I'll be good there.
