Yes they do come out. No they do nto come out easy.

Should just knock out on that style hinge, don't remember which way. 98 they changed the hinges and requires a little cutting

im drilling the hole out and puting a Pin in them so i can take them off when ever.

wouldnt they be hard to shut and line up properly? Just trying to get the info as I want to do the same to my xj.

No the trick is to makes sure they line up with the pin or bolt in there. Then when you pull the pin they should line back up fine.

Believe it was '97. Mine required a bit on my '97 and that was the year of the big redesign.

Depends on the manufacturing date I guess. Done a 97 and it had the old style hinges.

Mine drooped a little. Then my DS Front bottom pin broke off. Didnt matter cause I have a 2 door now.
