I did not do the wiring!!

I would think the weld would eventually cause the "frame" sides to crack. Seen it happen before, but other than that, everything looks good.

How much do you want for the bumper and tire carrier or let me know what you need to build another and I can try and get the material to you, then how much do you want to fab them up

I wasn't downing welding them on...

I've just stated that I've seen others that were welded on in similar fashion end up cracking the "frame" after long, hard use.

the weld is fine, just the base metal its attached to is what I'd always question. Other than that, they look good.

Looks great!

Only suggestion I can make is to shorten the length of your swing out so the back up lights are working. May not pass inspection.

How did you mount the bumper? Did you use the holes that would be used for a hitch?

He has a roof rack with reverse lights mounted on it. I made the swing out that wide so I could clear the hatch when it opens and closes. I welded a 3/16in plate across the back where the factory bumper mounts. Then I drilled them out to take eight 1/2in bolts.

nice

i like your bolt design in the floor for your sliders, I'm getting ready to build my rear bumper and tire carrier. where did you get the pivot pin thing for the swing out?

you better put that trailer spindle hinge in double shear or either put another latch up top behind the tire...
...those spindles break...even the ones bigger than yours...
...it makes for quite the beach ball bouncing down the highway...
...do the calculations for the consistant torque from the wobble of that big ass tire and you'll go

The only time I have seen these break is in a bad design. This swing out sits in a sadle and is pull aginst tthe saddle. The only way for it to break would be if it is mis-used. It is designed for 36 and smaller.
