are the Bilstein 5100s worth the $350 price tag? Mainly cruising and Offroad use, no DD.

That's what I run on my xj, and I think they are well worth the price.

I’m running RS5000s on my XJ because it’s a budget rig, but I have ran 5100s in the past on 2 different Toyota’s and loved them. They should have a substantially larger shock body diameter than OEM

I had them on my XJ when it was stock height. I thought they were a bit stiff, but it's obviously personal preference.
I run them on my 2500 and like them on it

Iron Rock Off-road has the Doetsch Shocks that have built in bump stops, and are very affordable. Myself and @Chris_Keziah run them and both very happy with them.
