XJ starts then turns off

When I start my 91 XJ everything runs for a little bit then turns itself off, but when the engine is warmed up it will start and stay on every time. what would make my XJ do this, its only happens when it's turned on from a cold start.
 
my fiance's does it too....she has an 87 i got her for xmas....its just the nature of the beast with the old renix fuel injection, they are cold natured....just warm it up before you go anywhere
