XJ TCM - Tranny Control Module

I have a 95 that needs a TCM, its got a yellow sticker on it..

What years/colors can I swap in?

Does it really matter ? Is it just some differences in shift programming ?


Any ideas?

You have to match the numbers. Mine says AE034556 91H. What numbers are on the plug?

So if I used one where the numbers didn't match (exactly) what would happen? Would it not work or blow up the transmission ?

97+ AW4 has sensors that pre 97s do not. TCM from later years would drop malfunction codes, give you a Check Engine light (CEL). If you not getting it inspected you might not care.
New sensors are backups and "to the best of my knowledge" do not affect performance of transmission.

I'm not sure. Could fry sensors in tranny or just not work.
