My xj has a 44 swaped in the front and now the brakes don't work at all have bled them a 100 times and replaced master cylinder and they still go to the floor after a few seconds I seen where the calipers could have gotten mixxed up and put on the wrong side is that possible or is there anything else that could cause this any help wojld be awsome

If the calipers are put on upside down it will cause that. Make sure the bleeder screw is above the banjo bolt that holds the brake line to the caliper, if it isn't then the caliper is upside down.

Are you still using the XJ master? I don't think that master pushes enough volume for the larger calipers.

^^^^^ this ^^^^^^^
the bleader screw needs to be on top
also did you bench bleed the master cylinder ??????
the stock XJ MS will be fine for larger calipers
what dana 44 do you have ????

If it is a waggy D44 I know for a fact the calipers can be put on upsidedown (wrong side). You will not get them to hold pressure. My buddy went through 2 quarts of fluid before I got there..LOL

I'm gonna say master's not pushing enough fluid. Find a booster and master off a 97 and up XJ, they have a 1 1/8" bore verses the older ones having a 1" bore.

its a ford d44 i think the calipers are on the wrong side should the brake line bolt on the top cause a buddy took them off and we wasnt paying attention which side they came off of if anybody could post a pic of there ford d44 calipers mounted that would help thanks
