im trying to figure out the best axle setup for a yj that im building,its gonna have a ford 5.0 with 38s im keeping the ax15 and np231 so i know the front axle needs to be a drivers drop.

How much money do you have and how are you going to drive it? It sounds like tons are what you need though, Ford 60/60 or Ford/Chevy 60/14b. I wouldn't consider a front 44 with a V-8 and 38's which will eventually probably be 40's or bigger.
