I have a 95 yj. 4banger (I know dont say it). Before I start digging into it I have a question. When my headlights are turned off everything works. Once I turn my headlights on I dont have a left rear turn signal or brake light. What kind of crap is that? Anyone ever had this problem?

What about just having the marker lights on? Is the front turn signal working ok?

The first thing I would do is replace the bulbs, I have had many lights cause problems because the the bulb was shorted out inside and would burn but cause other lights not to work right.

check to make sure the rear lights have a good ground. this most likely sounds like a grounding problem, and i have had alot of trouble out of the stock housings vibrating loose some.

hope this helps

lights

Yeah I read the book at auto zone and got all new bulbs only to find out when I got home today they were the wrong ones. Big suprize.

take the cover off yoru rear lights.... remove bulbs. remove the 3 screws that hold the lights to the tub.

clean up behind there, clean the light assembles, make sure the metal contacts around the mounting screws are clean as those are the lights grounds....

reinstall and test.
