o_O...OK I have been asked a question about my setup and now its bugging the crap out of me...SO heres my question to you guys that have already done this setup.

WHY do ALL of the 4 link setups I see have the uppers mounted so close to the center of the differential on a 14BFF?
I understand it is to keep the axle from moving side to side?

I was thinking ( and this may be my problem) that if I spread them out further on the truss (Artec) that I could keep my COG lower, and yes the gas tank is gone....
This will be a street/trail rig on 40's.

Should I stick with tried and true? or make the move and suffer the consequences?
I have searched for days and have found very little on this exact subject.

The uppers are centrally mounted at the axle end to allow triangulation at the frame end. You can run all 4 parallel if you want to, just add a track bar (panhard rod).
That's the short answer.
