I have 95 yj i did a soa and 3.5 inch spring lift on about a year ago . got a set of 38s on it and now i cant keep a cv joint in the rear .been thinking of taking the lift spring out and puting stock springs back in but need to move the axle back to center the tire in the wheel opening . i have seen people use waggie springs for 2inches but you get lift out of them what i want to do is use the stock springs and just move both frame mount back 2.5 inches back .anyone got any comments before i totally screw up my frame.

any comments would be helpful .

sorry to invade, LIKE your rear corner guards! What kind are they?

waggy springs would move it back 2"

waggy springs SOA front and rear would bring it down an inch and add 4 inches of wheelbase

FYI waggy springs are 2.5" lift over stock height yj springs

I'd look at lifting your engine up an inch or so, or dropping your transfer case down a bit to reduce the driveline angle a bit and reduce the wear in your cv joint. Stretching it would more than likely fix your problem but you'd have to deal with relocating the axle, relocating the fuel tank, and cutting up that sweet lookin armor.

This jeep wasnt built by me just the rear shackle hanger/bumper but this design might work well for you. This jeep has cherokee springs front and rear. The shackles were originally mounted like yours under the frame but it sat too high in the back. So the customer wanted it lowered 2.5 inches. VERY NICE Jeep by the way.

Yea man its a strong running jeep. The guy that has it now has done a lot with it. Maybe I can get you a few pictures of it how it looks now

move it back on the perch one inch and drop the lift one inch make sure CV yoke isnt interfering (might need grinding). Youve put all that work into the wheelwheel area I'd hate to redo all that. With leaf springs you should be a degree under straight lined up also (down a bit)
