First off it’s a YJ and I have a custom cage and doors that work with soft uppers. Planning to drive to work 2-3 days a week and most of my days off. I have a best top bikini top that is pretty loose because it doesn’t have the right reference points on the cage.

What is the best mixed weather top for a yj? I don’t like the storage issues with a hard top or the hassle to take it off.

1) frameless top like rampage (custom cage might not make tight

2) best top super top $$$$

3) wing it with door uppers and a bikini top with or without the curtain behind the front seats

I just want to be somewhat dry when I arrive somewhere and be able to retain some heat in the winter

When i was younger and drove mine all the time, I had a bikini top, wind jammer and hard doors. That was my winter setup. I also added an aux heater that would smoke you out. The wind jammer is a game changer for cold weather driving, imo.

I can't answer about the newer full soft tops. I'm, sort of, in the market for one myself. I know none are the quality of bestop.

Full length bikini top,
Windjammer and bed cover things.
Soft upper and lower doors

That’s what I run. Zip ties to make it tight and cut slots and holes for where the cage needs to go and stitched back with more zip ties.

That’s what I do for Poor weather wheeling.

Made it very tolerable with just a jacket until I made it where a windshield no longer fits.

So much rain is suck back at the inside of the windshield without the windjammer, due to aero effects.

Never considered zip ties, but the cage I have is so much different than stock it’s just kind of flappy
