yota advanced adapter question

so i have an 700r4 to yota tcase adapter from a project i had build when i was 19. my question is:

the case is out of an 87 (foward shift) from apearance. however, the shifter itself attaches on the top of the adapter and shifts from there. i havent seen one like it. will this case still work with a d300 adapted to the back of it for a doubler? sounds confusing? i will post pics up this weekend! and help?

The back of the case (sounds like you're using the Yota case only as a gear reduction unit?) should be no different.
