So I picked up some leather seats from a 98 limited ZJ. I'm in the middle of installing them and they will not recline upwards. When I got them I plugged everything in before bolting them to the floor, after which I then adjusted the recline position and even if I pushed the switch forward, they would go backwards. Now they are completely reclined and won't go anywhere.
So far I have.
a.) swapped the motor on the side of the seat that controls the reclining feature.
b.) swapped the switch that controls those functions.
c.) cleaned all the cobwebs out and inspected everything.
Even though the seats don't recline up, I still hear a relay clicking when I push the button. Do one of the motors UNDER the seat control the recline feature? Is there another relay/fuse I dont know about? Thanks for any advice.
