I knew a dude who used to be in a real estate investing think group I was. he bought about 50 homes in Detroit for next to nothing. Got them sec 8 certified and rented them …said it was nothing but headaches. Shocker. Had 2 burn down due to tenants and he was able to collect enough insurance money to demolish the rest and moved on.

Meanwhile there are a ton of country club neighborhoods with million plus houses in every neighboring county to Detroit, they all vote red but the state goes blue from the few democrats cities

...and our only phone prank was dialing our own home number from the basement phone, then hang up real fast, and the phones would then ring like an incoming call. Tormented a few babysitters with this.
