uwharrie april 4,5&6

American Wheeler will be there. Look for us in my blue xj w/ Tony stewart #20 stickers on it. We will be there trying to meet and talk with everyone we see. Possibly handing out a few goodies and alot of event flyers. This will be the coolest business trip ever.

Ill be looking for you guys!! If you see my silver crew cab nissan frontier run me off the trail and say hi!

i will be out there sat am. im in a white yj with a yellow frame and 36s. i might have another yj with me on 31s see u guys there!

I'm loaded up and ready. No doors, no windshield and only a little roof but lots of rain gear!!! Anyone that wants to join up with Papa Jon and I, I'll be on CH3 and we'll be at the outpost around 9am. If you don't have a CB my cell is 704-658-4087. I camping out at Badin Lake CG for the weekend.

Do yall mind if I convoy with you through the trails? I'll have my wife, daughter, a friend of mine, and his son all piled the the cherokee. I usually don't mind running the trails alone but with a few kids along for the ride I'd feel a lot better traveling with a few other rigs incase I were to break or get stuck. I'll bring my own strap :D. I've already ran all the trails but daniel this week, but I also didn't have two more people weighing down the jeep. Here's my cell, give me a call if you want to. I have no problem meeting out there at 9am tommorrow morning.

Thanks,

Darren

finally heard from Tony this morning when I got up. we're meeting at the Outpost at 7 (I'm guessing tonight since he said we're still on for camping)...look for us and tag along

Cool, I'll be out there in the morning. I'll give marvilusone a call after while to see when and where I can meet up with you all. I've met up with him to sell him a carb before, almost forgot about that. I'm probably not going to camp out this time since it's so wet and it would only be for one night. See everyone in the woods!!

that's a bit contradictory, my friend. hahaha :p

Heh, good point. When your coming from 553 parking heading to go up kodak there is a camp spot on a hill to the left off the trail before you start climbing the hill to go to kodak. Thats where will be. After work Im getting loaded and heading out. See ya'll there. :flipoff2:

I'll be there on Sunday sometime early in a black 84 toyota pick up thats all black and i'll most likely be with a little red yota pick up so look for me i'm always down to ride some trails with new ppl.
I may have to tag along. Anyone else meeting up Sunday morning?

Just walked in from a day at Uwharrie, very thick mud....Daniel & RML a huge mess. Good luck getting to Kodak, all so be prepared to winch. Rev Limiters and lockers and good tires
Very very fun. We could get to kodak but to slick to crawl it. Had to winch up RML. Uwharrie was alot harder this trip.

change of plans i'll be down in the mornin, campin tomorrow night and comin home sunday. see ya'll there

we were in front of ya on RML fighting the mud, stopped at the top of kodak to take a break from spinning and not going any where....green TJ, Red Rubicon,& early bronco

WOW, cant believe the winch came on out RML. It must have gotten a lot worse since tuesday. I have no winch, so hopefully if I don't make it up some of the hills I'll have a chance to back down :0

I have never pulled a cable at Uwharrie in my life until today. The mud was so slick, could not get any forward bite. RML and Daniel are in rough shape but I think it is more of a challenge than before. You will see where we pulled cable on RML (in the gulley going up at the rocky spot) It was fun...BE CAREFUL hit brakes early:driver:

Cool. Just curious, did you have to winch because you chose a hard line, or was the easiest line just that hard??? If you were in the TJ in your sig then your rig is more capable than mine. I only ask cause I'll have my wife and daughter with me, as well as a friend and his son. I don't want to get stranded in the trails with two 8yr olds ;) . We'll probably run the easy side of RML to see what it looks like and go from there. Were you going clockwise or counterclockwise around RML. The only place I can think of that could be thatbad might be counterclockwise not far into the trail from the main road on the big side. There's a pretty steep hill with a tight left turn at the top. Oh well, we'll see. I live in Albemarle, 15miles from URE, and it's been raining hard enough to hear it inside the house for the last hour. They were calling for .25 to .5in of rain, but I'll say we're getting more. Thanks for any warnings you have for us, this isn't going to be a cowboy trip. I'm going to try to take it easy since I have 4 passengers with me.
