Harlan, KY August 20th

But 58 from Independence to Damascus was twisty af.

Yup!

You cross over Mt Rogers. My family is from Independence and we'd go to Mt Rogers every summer.

58 from Independence to 16 over to Marion to get onto 81 is much better

Where is the majority of the attendees planning on setting up camp? I will be there Friday morning-ish so I wanted to unload some stuff where I know people are going to be settling in on Friday evening.

Kenneth, are you a passenger this time or you driving your rig?

I'm staying where jason's at.
Somewhere near the trailhead past the zipline is all i know. o_O

Probably a few in both places, if you have a camper with AC then the dairy hut lot is a good choice. For a tent the campground up near the zip line is better, it is down in a holler on the north face and much cooler.

Hate to do this but I will not be able to make it. School is kicking my ass and I under estimated the work load. Hope to see ya at the Dixie run.

What a great ride. Thanks to everyone for keeping us all right side up the whole day.

I'll post up some good pics when I get back on the laptop but here's a few.

We started on time in the morning, believe or not!
There were about 17 of us I think that split up into two groups after we hit pinball, rail bed, fish fossil and the lower rock garden.

I don't know what else Jason took his group on but we only had one incident on rail bed, busted sidewall on (I think it was) Don's jeep and slightly bent tie rod.

After we hit killin time (made us all miss callalantee!), we then headed over to mason jar and we walked through lions den. Gives a whole new perspective seeing the den in person.

I was the only one winchless but did every trail the big rigs hit believe it or not only having selectable lockers. The muddy hill climb exit on killin time, a few of us got pulled but it was snotty!

The rain managed to stay away until all of us got to the top of Mason jar. If we had been an hour later, we'd probably still be up there. No joke. The bottom fell out strong for about 20 mins straight.

I'm looking forward to going back up here again one day and really glad to be back on the trails with CTB again!!
:beer::driver::huggy:

Don killed a sidewall on a tire on railbed, big thanks to Kenith on the multi tireplug repair . It held all day! We swapped the spare on before he headed out.
Joe,s dad about stepped on a copperhead beside his trailer , went full ax ninja on that snake! Very dead!
Now, I know what all those Scary faces, were about! SnakEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

All I can say is it was awesome to ride with the great group of men that makes up the CTB again!!!! This was the best weekend of wheeling I've had in a loong time. Hoping to ride more regular if possible. Seemed as if I've not missed a single ride the last few years. Thanks guys!!

Man I can't believe that held up. That was meant as a temporary fix to get him out of that trail. Glad it worked!
