Grampa "Dump" died in 1984 and as a snotty nosed 8 year old I wanted something to remember him by. Well what better than his old kindling axe he claimed was given to him by his grampa(not sure about this b/c he was as full of crap as me). Well I used it some as a kid would do and eventually broke the old handle and hung the head up in the barn. In 2001 (it was wrapped in a Dec 200I newspaper) stumbled across it and seen how rusty it had gotten so I sanded it down and just painted It black to protect it, wrapped it in newspaper and put it in my gun safe. Well fast forward a few years.......I pulled it out today sanded it down blued it with cold blue and put a new handle in her. Welcome back old friend.
