33 12.50x15" is what's on it now and what I'll be buying. Has Mickey Thompsons now and I'll stick with the A/T or M/T design. No white letters this time though (maybe) Will be an American named tire, not loud, good quality, nice road manners. I like the BFG's but they're a little pricey. This will be a street rig that may do a little light trail use. Will be at patriotic events, shows, etc. Plus my own little nice convertible to ride around in.

I do like that though. I Know I'm going to have to pay. This is a legacy and honor rig and it will be staying with me forever. I just didn't think I'd be buying tires this soon, my projects usually take years to get on the road! lol

I've been running a set of 40" mtz's on my CJ for years. These are the "street" tires for this rig and I can't say how impressed I am with these. they are incredibly smooth and quite, and wearing well. Would expect manners to be even better with a smaller size. Basically they're Michelin equivalent of mud tires in my book as far as good daily street manners. No idea how they do off road - that's what the ole bias ply swampers are for...

I ran Mickey Thompson Baja AT's on my 2500 two years ago. they had better mileage out of them than the original BFGs. They ended up sort of loud when they wore down for a street rig. IMO I do love the look of a MT AT, and it is just about the most aggressive AT tire you can find.

I had Mickey MTZ's on my old durrrmax at they were the best mud tires I ever ran. Great street manners for a mud tire and balanced with almost no weight.

Nothing useful to add except I was watching a documentary this weekend on Mickey Thompson's murder and I had forgotten how horrific that was.

I'll second this choice.
My first set of upgrades tires on the TJ were the Mickey MTZ in a 33/15/12.50 and they behaved wonderfully on the road, and gave decent offroad performance

NITTO Trail Grapplers - what I also run - are sold in your size. While NITTO is owned by Toyo (Japan) the Nitto factory is in Georgia. However, big however, due to supply and demand there are times Nitto tires are made in Japan and will be stamped as so. I sold hundreds of NITTO tires when I had my shop and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason when I got a delivery as to if they were made in Georgia or Japan.
So if you get a set with Japan stamped on them and that would upset you then don't go down the Nitto path. However they are a damn good tire.

Wife’s 4Runner had those when we got it new. Such a great tire that I chose to get another set when it was time. I’m probably going to get a set of 42s for around town tires when I finish my ton swap.
