Starting to get my 1st gen Toy P/U together and looking for options for front and rear bumpers. I like the tube look. Gonna need a winch plate. Spare Tire will be in the bed so no need for a tire swing. Who is running what or is there someone who would be willing to build one. The couple companies I have found are way expensive!

My buddy makes them on the side. Here is the one he made for me.

What would one run dollars wise? And do you know if the frame rails are similar from my ‘81 to your model?

I found this one on All Pro and kind of what I’m looking for. Super simple I just don’t have a way to bend tube. I would be down with a stinger just not something huge.

I think they’re around $200-250 depending on how fancy you want it. I’m not sure on the dimensions aspect. I’d assume they’re not far off

That sounds like a deal to me. If you want to ask him about building one I’d appreciate it. Pm me for contact info and I can get any kind of measurements he may need.

@dark knight I checked them out and they are for 84-95. If I could get some measurements I might could make it work but don’t want to spend the money just to have to cut it up to make it fit. If you’d be so kind at your convenience could you take some mounting point measurements? Also, the mounting “legs” that come off it go to the front body mounts?

I could maybe get the measurements tomorrow. A person who can make one from scratch is nick at NTK Fabworks. He did all the welding on my truck and did an outstanding job.

Mounting legs to the body mount area is roughly 33.5” apart.

outer most bolts are 25” apart. The is a bolt 3” to the inside of the outer most bolt and one 3” above the last. This is for both sides.

This is what I have on my 1st gen 4runner, they have it for yours too

Addicted Offroad is a full service Parts, Sales, and Fabrication company offering offroad parts for all makes and models, Addicted Offroad

On the rear, it's just a flat 2x3 rectangular tube, with a 2x2 receiver cut into it for a hitch. My rock sliders are square tube (1.5") so it matches well. IMO a square rear bumper is nice for stepping up onto.
I saw those and they were the reason I posted. Maybe I’m out of touch but I just don’t see $700 worth of material/labor in that front bumper (yes I see it’s on sale for $630) plus another $110 shipping to get it from Wyoming. Which is why I posted. Maybe someone had one/ made one/ new someone local that could achieve the same result with less $$ even if it isn’t much I’d sooner keep my money local and not pay ups/fedex/dhl.
