jeep cranks fine when cold and runs fine. but after it warms up it seems to have to turn over more to crank it up..... and lopes a little. and if it idles for long it will sputter and sometimes backfire into air cleaner like it is loading up or something....... clears out after i get moving. i've read up on it and it seems to have to an issue with 99-01 cherokee's. heat wrap was suggested and i haven't done that yet because it seemed to not work for all.... but i am going to do that. wondering if anyone else here has seen this and if they had anymore suggestions to offer from there experience!! thanks

i had the same bs going on with my cherokee. i tried the insulation on the injectors, i did the valve rotation procedure, i did a coil rail with plugs. nothing happened.

i had replaced the crank sensor about 2 months earlier with a cheap aftermarket one because i got a code for it. i decided to replace it again with a factory sensor, and that fixed it.

mhm. I had that happen with a '93 GC 4.0L. Went nutty, replaced injectors, tested compression, tested cooling system, checked valves, was like wth. Finally replaced CPS but was new 3 mo prior. Solved. Maybe only use MOPAR CPS?
