01 van with 5.4. When it is very wet out the van stutters while driving. When the weather is nice for days or weeks I have no problems. There are no codes or check engine light. Any ideas?

Only in wet weather ? Why am I not throwing codes? About 20k ago I replaced the plugs when the code said miss in #6.

it's a ford. their misfire system sucks.
your lucky you got a code.
the misfire counter runs up to 100 and resets, if it doesn't throw a code in that time, it starts all over.
if you have done the plugs, time to start throwing coils on it. i usually see the coils start going bad around 120,000 miles.

I'm seeing the coils and coil packs going bad well before 100k around here. And yes, it will be worse wet. You could probably take a spray bottle of water and wet each coil individually until you find the one or ones that are failing. They don't go bad, really, but the cases crack and they start to arc to ground. This is why it's worse wet.

I know its a bit of a drive but I'm Granite Falls and if your up that way I can find it. Unfortunately you need a good scan tool like a Snap-On Verus (plug for Snappy) and go into the OEM PIDS

Granite is nice and close. I'll get in touch with you soon.
