01 Taco Oil leak at filter

Hey everyone, I have an issue with my '01 Tacoma 2.7l leaking oil from the filter or filter base. I mostly see oil on the actual filter, not so much on the engine block. Lots of oil has puddled up on the skid plate and axles. I have tried changing the oil/filter, tightening the filter and removing and cleaning the o ring seat surface. It still seems to be weeping some oil. Is it possible that the mount has a crack or is somehow loose? I just do not like my taco failing. It has never leaked until this issue. I am seeking any help in troubleshooting or where to look, what to replace, etc..... Thanks in advance
 
I Googled around a little, and it sounds like the oil filter housing that mounts to the block can leak. The 3RZ seems to have that problem a lot if you get your statistics from the amount of forum threads created.

Google "tacoma oil filter housing leak" or "3rz oil filter housing leak".
