Hey y'all my buddie just bought a 2002 ford explorer sport 4.0 4x4. He is trying to lift it but is having a hard time finding a suspension lift for it. Anyone know where to look or a link or something? I tried 4 wheel parts and it didnt seem to have anything. Thanks for the help

i think superlift is the only one that makes them and i think they're only offered as a 4" kit. they're pricey too, around $1500 IIRC.

i'd tell him to look into SAS-ing. once you factor in the cost of paying a shop to install it, he's gonna be into it about $3000 and he'll still needs wheels/tires.

or, he could get a shackle for the rear and crank the t-bars up front, then do a 3" body lift.

I know that they make the 4" lift for the explorer sport truck but i don't know if that is the same as the 2 door sport explorer. I also didnt find a body lift for it on 4wheelparts

I just cranked the torsion bars up on my old one then made do with long add a leafs and warrior yj shackles in the rear. Added a 3 inch body lift for a Ranger and fit some 35" all terrains with only minor fender trimming.

i would think it's the same suspension. check summitt and jc whitney, one or both will have a body lift kit

You wont find anything much for those explorers... After the Firestone roll over fiasco ask lifts disappeared echo except superlift. Use the sane model year Ranger parts and you will be all good
