02 sensors

On my 87 4runner the previous owner hooked a 02 sensor from a different vehicle in a custom exhaust setup. The toyota sensors have 2 bolts that hold it on and the one that is on it now is a thread in type. "IF" i can get the old one out of the exhaust can i just take it to the auto parts store and try and match one up or are 02 sensors made specific for a motor? I'm throwing a 02 code and my mileage sucks.

They make a O2 replacement flange for the Toyota. Any good exhaust shop should should have one and install it to be able to run the OE sensor.
