Got a question for you tech guys.

Vehichle in question: 03 TJ, 4.0L, auto, all stock.

Problem: When ran for several hours non stop down the interstate, then getting into a town and stopping at a stop light it sometimes idles low and tries to die. A mile or so of stop/go driving after this and it clears up. Also, here lately when you go to crank it up it idles very low and dies. As long as you keep your foot on the pedal it runs fine. Happens interminently.

I've pulled the throttle body and cleaned it out, cleaned the idle air control valve and cleaned the connections going to it.

Anyone got any more ideas?

IAC. I cleaned mine, worked for awhile, but then still had to replace it.

I must have read too fast and didn't see you put that up there.

You showing any CEL's? If so a run to the Auto Zone etc for a free read might help.

If not, unmetered air getting into the engine would be another cause - check intake hose/runners and vacuum lines for cracking etc. (Maybe the crack etc...is only evident with higher temperatures of the rubber/plastic etc..) - Just another thought.

stalling

Sounds like your computer is acting up. I had the same trouble with my 05. It would run a few days then stall when I came to a stop, turn the switch off, restart and go again. It finally started shutting down while running down the interstate. The computer was replaced under warranty, no problems since.
