Clean off the ground flat steel ring, many of the big name brands will have a logo or part number on that. That looks like one of the ones where the spherical can be replaced as a unit, which is what the snap rings are for I think.
Almost makes me think of a trail gear creeper joint. I hated the ones I had. Theyre so huge and have so little misalignment that the sides will blow out if you don't watch it.
That's the big problem with the cartridge-type rod ends like that, the spherical cartridge is so tall that there isn't space for very much misalignment before hitting the cartridge ends. QA1 makes a unit like that but with internal snap rings so the cartridge is much shorter.
I looked up the Trail Gear units and they appear to be an internal snap ring as well, so that's probably not the same unit.
Sadly, I know who built this Jeep but I cant think of his name.
He goes by JT. He used to to be big in the Mud Bog sport. (Maybe JT Tomlinson?) Owns some transmission shop? I think they were pretty well known in the mud racing!
