I need a link/pointer on where to find an adapter to tap a 1/4" NPT fitting into an existing 3/4" CPVC water line.
Adding one of these pressure gauges

to the main line at home.

Surprisingly difficult to find a part to do this.

Should be pretty easy. Go to Lowe's. Get a 3/4 T and piece everything else together. They have NPT adapters that fit PVC

Probably a half inch adapter is the smallest you'll get in pvc at lowes. Just get a brass 1/2 to 1/4" reducer bushing to go between the two and you're done.

OK so that's the thing, yes I expect this to be really easy.
However they don't seem to have any adapters that go from 1/2" PVC to 1/4" NPT, neither did HD. I even had a guy look for me.
Maybe I'm just retarded though.
That's basically what I'm asking for.

1/2" PVC to some size pipe thread, then adapt it down to whatever you need for the gauge. You should be able to get a 1/2" PVC to 1/2" NPT or maybe 3/8" NPT.

Get a 3/4" cpvc tee then run about 6" of pipe and put a 3/4" brass X cpvc female on it. Then from there get a 3/4" x 1/4" bushing. I would do it in brass though.

Reduce down to 1/2" pipe. If using CPVC, glue a short piece inside a fitting (tee, coupling, etc.) flush with the end of the fitting. Tap it for 1/4" NPT and you are good to go. If using PVC do the same, but tap it for 3/8" NPT. If you are worried the joint may be weak, put a hose clamp around it. I've done this many times and it works well. :)

PVC pipe threads are standard pipe thread, same as steel pipe. If you can adapt from CPVC to PVC, then you are nearly there :)
