So I'm sitting here in front of the lexington courthouse and I notice the parking sign. It seems as though the hours kind of overlap. So what if you show up at 1 AM? Park or no? Not like there's anything to do in Lexington at 1 AM, but still.....

Daylight savings time. Somebody got really confused.

I thought at first that it was originally 6 am to 12 am and someone just swiped the 1, but all the other signs are the same and the letter spacing is consistent to actually be 2 am. Odd.

I guess if you park at 11:59pm, you can stay for 2hrs, but you have to park for exactly 2hrs, no more, no less.

well doesn't 6am-2am cover 20hrs so you literally couldn't park there all day and just in case you really wanted that spot you also can't park there from 12am-6am which would cover those remaining hours that they missed in the previous 20 hours. so it should just say "no parking" in general

It's 2hr parking from 6am-2am

Lexington courthouse is a scary place. I was there for a traffic ticket once. Saw an older woman on the stand refer to a younger beastly woman (who was there for threatening another mutant with a baseball bat at Smokin' Joe's,) as her daughter, then her sister. Then she said something about "my daddy," and later "our daddy." I'll let you do the math.

Up to midnight, you can park for two hours. So if you get there at 11:59 they will leave you alone for 2 hr's.
But if you park at 12:30 you're illegal.

Doesn't seem hard to me...

I see your point, but there is no mechanism to let anyone know if they got there at 11:57PM or 1:57AM. There is one meter maid in the entire city of Lexington and I don't think she is running around at 1 am.

Honestly, I think the signs were ordered wrong and nobody noticed. That's a WHOLE lot more likely in this town. I'd bet that the intent was to be 12 to 6 and 6 to 12. Makes a whole lot more sense and easier to enforce.

I think it was another one of Gerald Hege's entrapment techniques. Somehow. No matter what time you parked there, you were in violation and subject to his usual search and evidence planting.

Welcome to Lexington my friend! It took me two months of working and picking up parts just to memorize all the one way streets downtown. Mind Jack....:)
