My boss was looking for a beater truck for hauling trash/home depot runs etc.
Found this on CL for $350, needing a head for the 20R. I happen to have a good one I told him he could have. We had no idea it was gonna be this nice!
Dude bought it brand new in 79 from a Toyota dealer in Shelby.
He said he drove it 375,000 miles and it started running hot, so he had the engine rebuilt, and put another 220,000 miles on it when the head cracked. Yes, 595,000 miles on this thing!!
Still has the original spare tire underneath never been on the ground, etc. Very very little rust in the bed seam, bed floor is almost perfect, paint still shiny (been repainted factory color 10 years ago he said) and straight as they get.
I've never seen one this clean. Absolute definition of "Barn Find" It was even in a barn!!
