Looks like the knuckles I bought a while back are reamed for 1 ton Tre (i think) is there an insert on the market I could put in them so I can use heims?

And once you drill them, there are split inserts that are tapered on the ID that will let you run a tie rod again if you ever wanted to.

Don't be skeered....drill em out!

Problem is I really need a bigger heim for it then. But talked to Jody today and think I've got a slightly ghetto solution. If that doesn't work I'm going with a completely ghetto maybe slightly sketchy idea...

But either way I'm drilling it

What size heims are you going to run?

It's a 5/8" hole after the misalignment spacers are in. This is for the drag link on a Cherokee with a Dana 30 with hydro assist. I dont really need a bigger heim.

While I've never broken a heim, I have bent a 3/4 shank pretty good. 7/8x3/4 is all I run in my steering and I've great luck so far. You should break or bend (not intentionally) a .250" wall DOM tie rod before a heim shank give out.
So is my theory on a tie rod anyways.

The offset heims on the tierod are 7/8x3/4

Listen up skank,
Drive your lazy butt over to my shop and pick up this 1" piece of tube with a 5/8" ID and do it right.
You're as bad as @McCracken

@Loganwayne she'd probably be mad that you can't spell her name right either :D

No one said you had janky shit..... Anyone doing a quick walk around your rig can see that it's janky with some pimp parts thrown in here and there. Jody was calling you a cheap ass. Lol

oh.

in that case I'm cool with that.

Call me an idiot, couldnt see the big picture.... Instead of using a high angle misalignment spacer I took a couple regular misalignment spacers from Nick drilled the bitch to 3/4" and I'm good to go
